Omori Boat Ramp
Whether you're fishing, boating, jet-skiing, picnicking or swimming, a stop off at Lake Taupo from Omori or Kuratau can't be missed. Don't forget to pack your togs!
Tokaanu Hot Pools
Whether rain or shine, the Tokaanu Hot Pools are a great place to relax. Only a 15 minute drive from Poppa's Place and plenty of parking.
Canoe & Kayak Taupo
50 minutes from Poppa's Place, Canoe & Kayak Taupo has plenty of adventures to keep you occupied.
Huka Falls, Taupo
No trip to Taupo is complete without stopping to see the magnificent Huka Falls.
Ski Whakapapa, Mt Ruapehu
Come winter, Whakapapa is heaving with skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities.
Turangi-Omori Croquet Club
Just a 5 minute stroll from Poppa's Place and you can enjoy some croquet. Best of all, entry is free!
Old Wharf, Tokaanu
If you're a keen photographer or a sucker for a view, make sure you check out the Old Wharf at Tokaanu. It's only a 15 minute drive from Poppa's Place and well worth the stop off.
Doughboats, Taupo
What better way to checkout the beautiful Lake Taupo than on a Dough Boat. Pack a picnic or simply just enjoy the views.
DeBretts, Taupo
If the freezing cold temperatures of Lake Taupo aren't your thing, check out DeBretts to warm yourself up in their hot pools. Got kids? They'll love the slides on offer.
The Luge, Rotorua
If you're an adrenaline junkie, you can't go to Rotorua without stopping at The Luge. Helmet on and let the race begin!
